Published 4:24 pm Tuesday, August 18, 2026 FRANKFORT – Kettle Cuisine has recalled their Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup Kit, sold at Walmart Stores in Kentucky and 28 other states, because of possible Listeria contamination. The recalled product is packaged in a wrapped tray and is marked with product description label and printed use-by code identifier of August 22, 2026. Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, infection with Listeria monocytogenes can also cause miscarriage and stillbirth in pregnant women. The recall is being initiated after routine testing conducted by the company produced a presumptive positive result for Listeria monocytogenes.
