American retailer Walmart has reached a major milestone in its EV charging journey, with its owned-and-operated EV charging network now reaching 100 store locations. It’s impressive growth, for a charging network which only opened its first location in April 2025. Rapid expansion of Walmart’s public charging network continues The majority of these 100 locations have come onlinesince the start of this year, further highlighting the rapid growth of a charging network that has existed for such a short time. Growth of the network will continue, as Walmart uses its existing properties to build EV chargers in convenient locations where drivers already park to carry out their weekly shop. Longer term, the firm has plans to bring these chargers to ‘thousands’ of Walmart and Sam’s Club locations.
