Walmart plans to enhance backend supplier collaboration and frontend checkout convenience with its latest announcements. The US retailer introduced Tap to Pay options acrossselectstores on 24 August 2026. Walmart aims to roll it out across all US stores and Sam’s Club locations by the end of 2026, before expanding it to fuel stations by mid-2027. Tap to Pay provides customers and members with another convenient way to pay at checkout using contactlesspayment methods. Shoppers can use contactless cards, smartphones, or smartwatches, and can add eligible Walmart, Sam’s Club, and OnePay cards directly to their digital wallets.
