If you have checkout anxiety like me and ever stood at a Walmart checkout digging for a credit card, those days are over! The retail giant announced that it is beginning to roll out contactless payment at select Walmart stores and Sam’s Club locations starting Monday, August 24. That means customers will be able to simply tap an eligible contactless credit or debit card, phone or smartwatch at checkout. Contactless payments have been pretty standard at plenty of other storesfor years,but Walmart has largely pushed customers toward its own Walmart Pay system. Now the company is opening the door to the same tap-and-go convenience shoppers already use elsewhere.
